The kids, tired and really worn out as they were really rose to the occasion and sang a beautiful, inspiring and for me, moving Mass. The Mass and music was dedicated to S.I. grad Jill Costello, ’06 who passed away earlier this week way too early.
What a wonderful day it has been (I am writing this on the steps of our hotel Sunday morning getting ready for our last gig at the noon Mass in the Basilica of Ignatius Loyola.
Let me be brief because we spent most of the day on the bus with our friend Jaime our bus driver. The journey was long and involved 2 pee breaks in the middle of nowhere and one lunch stop in Zaragoza, the capital of the kingdom of Aragon.
The queue to get in to see the Black Virgin statue was out the door and down the steps. Hundreds of people were in line to get up close and personal with the unique statue.
