Advent Calendar – Day 23

Really? I mean...really?

Today is December 19,2011, the last week of Advent before. One of today’s reading comes from the Psalter: “Rescue me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of the unjust and cruel man.” (Ps 71:4) The wicked, you know who they are. As John Boehner said this afternoon about what to do about the payroll tax holiday, “We oppose the Senate bill because doing the two-month extension instead of a full year extension causes uncertainty for job creators.” There is no uncertainty with the job creators. This is made up by the Republicans and means absolutely nothing in the real world, you know it, I know it and the people know it. Stop with this game of one-upmanship and work for the good of the people. Enough!

and so it goes…

A little song, a little dance, a little coffee down your pants... 40 years in the high school classroom and now on my own. A chance to think about stuff and how it affects everyone, not just me. Now residing in Oregon volunteering for a refugee organization.
