At 1:30 in the morning, Mayor Bloomberg evicted the Occupy Wall Street protesters from Zuccotti Park. And this afternoon, a judge sided with the city—and the 1%—ruling that protesters “have not demonstrated that they have a First Amendment right to remain in Zuccotti Park.”

But as the #OWS protesters have said: “You cannot evict an idea whose time has come. We are the 99%. We are everywhere.” Occupys are nothing new in American History they have been with us since the beginning, through the B&O train strike, the free speech movement and a bunch I’ve left out. Check your American history, don’t rely on Fox “News” to tell you that it isn’t American. Rely on accurate (heh, O’Reilly?) history to find out. Don’t be uninformed like so many

Speaking of nonsense, what is up with Herman Cain? The flavor of the month has started his slide down the polls. I guess people are finally getting a handle on the fact that there is nothing there. No, I take that back, he can talk and talk and talk. Humorous as that may be as a distraction, this country does not need a businessman to run it. We all know that this republic is not a business nor a corporation nor a board room. It is a stew of people longing for equality and equal opportunity and agencies to help with that dream. When Herman says if you aren’t rich, haven’t had success then “blame yourself” he’s missing the point, not even close. If the field was level everyone should have an opportunity to rise. The field is not level when all the money flows to the top and the middle class is holding the reverse funnel. Maybe it’s time to Occupy Herman.

and so it goes…
