Joe Mama

Finally made it from Medford to Portland in my own zoned-out time. Zoned-out means I get into a groove and the car works on auto-pilot and bingo, we’re there. Only two pee stops, must have been the rain acting like a subconscious thing…

Sarah looks great and upbeat ahead of her operation tomorrow morning. She insists on cooking for us tonite. We went on a mission to Fred Meyer to pick up stuff for dinner. The place is immense like huge, like over whelming at least for me. I went off to buy a Nathan/s hot dog for myself and Kathy, bad move. I lost them in the store. Couldn’t find them. I didn’t have my phone so the only alternative was to walk and walk and walk, holding two hotdogs. I needed vitamins. I am so out of shape to walk through Fred Meyer. I finally ate my hot dog and realized that it probably had been cooked earlier in the day, but it hit the spot and gave me new energy to push forward, ever forward. Lewis and Clark inside Fred Meyer. I finally found them as they went to the check out. The Northwest passage was found!

Sarah and her roommate’s house is a step up from the last one. A move from Southeast Portland to the Northeast. If you know Portland, you can figure it out. If you aren’t I don’t think I can give an accurate geography lesson. So there.

Early tomorrow, Sarah goes into surgery. Tonite we feast, because it’s got to last a few days…more later

and so it goes…
